Amir Anastasios Alwan
Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain/Operations Management and Business Statistics at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Lubar College of Business. I received a Ph.D. in Management Science and Operations Management and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to graduate school, I received a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
My research focuses on dynamic decision making under uncertainty, leveraging tools from applied probability, queueing theory, mathematical optimization, and statistics. I study problems across a variety of application areas, including dynamic pricing, inventory control, production scheduling, and supply chain management.
